Privacy Policy

This policy describes the visitor data this private site may receive, its use, and circumstances in which it can be shared. By using the site, you accept the practices set out here.

Data You Give Us Directly

Search Queries

If you enter a name or case number into a search tool on this site, the query is sent to the independent provider operating that tool. That provider processes the query and supplies any results; we do not keep a separate log or database of the terms entered through those tools.

Messages and Contact Submissions

When you email us, we retain the message to respond to it. We keep those communications within our organization unless disclosure is required by law.

Data We Gather Automatically

When a page loads, the site’s servers may receive technical information associated with the visit, including:

  • The IP address associated with the device
  • Browser type and version
  • Device type and operating system
  • Pages viewed and the time spent on them
  • The referring site, when one is available
  • The date and time of page views

Cookies and Analytics

We use cookies, small files saved on a device, to understand general site use such as page traffic and navigation patterns. Analytics services help aggregate that information. You can block cookies through browser settings, although doing so can change how some site features work.

What We Do With This Data

  • Operate, maintain, and improve the site
  • Route a submitted search to the relevant partner service
  • Understand aggregate page use and technical performance
  • Identify and address operational problems
  • Serve advertising that may reflect user interests

No Court-Record Data on File

We do not host, maintain, compile, or sell a database of court dockets or personal case-record information. The site gives general access guidance for Nodaway County records held by the Circuit Clerk’s Office, the Circuit Court of Nodaway County, and Missouri Case.net. Missouri’s Sunshine Law, including RSMo §§ 610.023 and 610.026, supplies a public-government record-access framework, but court files remain subject to court-specific confidentiality rules, orders, and Missouri Court Operating Rule 4. We are not a consumer reporting agency, and visitor data is not assembled into consumer reports about other people.

Third-Party Search Partners

Outside companies operate the search boxes that appear on some pages of this site. Information entered into those tools is handled under the provider’s own privacy policy, retention practices, and sharing rules. We do not control those practices, so review the provider’s policy before submitting a query.

Links to Other Websites

Our pages link to Circuit Clerk resources, Missouri court portals, Missouri Case.net, legal-aid resources, and independent search services. Selecting an outside link takes you to a different site governed by its own privacy policy. Read that policy before providing personal information there.

Advertising partners can also track activity across sites for targeted advertising. Any such tracking occurs through their systems rather than ours.

Who Might See Your Data

We do not sell personal data. Information may be shared with:

  • Search partners that process searches submitted through their tools
  • Analytics services used for traffic and performance measurement
  • Advertising networks that place advertisements on the site
  • Law-enforcement or government entities responding to a valid legal order

How We Protect Your Data

We use ordinary safeguards intended to protect the information we receive. No internet-connected system is completely secure, however, and we cannot promise that an unauthorized access incident will never occur.

Users Under 18

This site is intended for adults, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from people under 18. If you believe a minor has provided personal information to us, contact us so it can be removed.

Your Data Rights

Missouri’s Sunshine Law, RSMo §§ 610.023 and 610.026, addresses access to governmental records; it does not turn this private site into a court-record custodian or override court access restrictions under Missouri Court Operating Rule 4. At a minimum, you may:

  • Request a copy of information we retain about you
  • Ask us to correct information that is inaccurate
  • Request deletion of your information
  • Opt out of certain processing where applicable

Updates to This Policy

We may revise this policy. A revised version takes effect when posted on this page with an updated effective date.

Effective date: August 29, 2026
